When at Cannon Beach - dont stay here

Boycott this place. It smelled like smoke and is not as described. The owner/manager was rude when questioned about the smell of the place.

the description says

The Cottage:
The two story Cottage is situated 40 yards from the beach and is private from the other accommodations. This romantic Cottage offers a private in room Jacuzzi with a great ocean view upstairs, heat control fireplace, and a fully equipped kitchen. The downstairs portion of the studio suite features a TV with DVD player.
This suite also has a room upstairs within the unit that has a comfortable queen bed with a roll a way for additional sleeping. The romantic view of the ocean from you room gives you the added experience of being in Cannon Beach. Sleeps up to 6 people."

the upstairs was the attic that was a small and nearly unusable space. Christina and I both bumped our head on the steeply sloping ceilings. To see the "romantic view" you had to walk hunched over to the attic window and you could see the ocean from between 2 blocks of other beach homes.

there was no roll-away bed, but there was a futon that partially folded you up into a taco while you slept.

the jacuzzi was in the main room and was an over sized jacuzzi tub. That is fine if it is just a happy couple, but if you are not, you have to ask your friends to leave to use the tub as it is just a couple of feet from the bed.

The owner/manager - when asked about the smoke smelling room - responded that cottage was non-smoking, and that people did not smoke in cannon beach and accused Ale of not being able to tell the difference between smoke smells and beach smells. There were cigarette butts outside the door.
